Since We’re Assigning Blame…
There has been plenty of finger pointing after the Broncos second straight loss. Most fans are pointing the blame at Plummer, but Shanahan, the RB’s and the defense, among others, are getting their share as well. With all due respect to the Chiefs, who came ready to play and deserved the W, I’d like to suggest one other place to point some blame — Adam Schefter.
On Wednesday, Schefter came out with a report that Thursday would be Jake Plummer’s last start. Cutler was to be handed the reins for the Broncos next game on December 3. Thursday, the Broncos looked like a team with no faith in their QB. Plummer looked like a QB with no faith in himself.
Either Schefter got an inside report from a Broncos staffer, or he made it up. I know this is what the media does — they love a scoop. I’m sure the NFL Network loved having such a spicy story to promote their first ever live game broadcast, but reporting this story was irresponsible. If the coaching staff had already made this decision, there is a reason they didn’t announce it. It wasn’t in the best interest of the team for it to be out there. Schefter could have made his report right after the game, and still had his scoop, but unfortunately things just don’t work that way with the media.
If there was a leak out of Broncos HQ that gave Schefter his information, then someone please learn from it. Don’t ever trust this guy with any meaningful information again.

You have got to be kidding me.
Plummer should have sucked it up and tried to save his job. He played poorly because he just isn’t that good. Don’t try to blame this loss on the media.

We saw the real Jake The Fake reappear.
We will miss him.

The Broncos lost because they managed 38 rushing yards and put the game on Plummer’s shoulders. Suggesting that they lost because of the leak is silly. Plummer may not be the brightest bulb in the fixture, but he already knew his job was in jeopardy.
This article is just nonsense.

Schefter has been the best Broncos reporter for years. If his “scoop” caused the loss then they didn’t deserve the win in the first place. I pin this loss squarely on the offense, defense and special teams. Jake was just about what you’d expect, which isn’t enough to overcome a leaky defense and a poor offense and special teams.

Iam glad Jake Plummer is not starting, but the Broncos lost because of poor play calling.
You need to put the ball in our “playmakers” hands(Walker, and Tatum) not Plummer.

Plummer couldn’t handle the pressure. Schefter was just doing his job. And further proof is the fact that Jake is leaving yrs of pro football on the table for the chance to go walk dogs.
